Considering to fulfill the dream of Digital Bangladesh, 'Internet of Things (IoT) Conference' got held for the first time in Bangladesh at Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka organized by Bangladesh Innovation Forum.
Media personality, Founder Director and Head of News in Chanel-i Mr. Shaikh Siraj was present in the inauguration ceremony as chief guest. Besides, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Managing Director of Data Soft Mr. Mahbub Zaman, Managing Director of LEADS Corporation Shaeikh Abdul Waheed, Professor Dr. Liakot Ali-IICT, BUET, Founder of Bangladesh Innovation Forum Ariful Hasan Apu and many others were also present.
Shaikh Siraj said-IoT's significant role in agriculture sector can make the way for new potential. Such initiative to provide different kinds of support for the farmers in Bangladesh through IoT is really praiseworthy. He also added-Long term plan is required aiming to provide solutions finding different problems. It is possible to create a revolution utilizing IoT. Ariful Hasan Apu, founder of Bangladesh Innovation Forum, the organizer of the conference, said-The list of internet based products is getting larger day by day and at a time its usage is also getting increased. Technology to connect different devices to internet refers to IoT. The market is so uprising that 8400 million units internet connected devices can be used globally this year. By 2020, the usage of IoT devices will exceed 2 thousand 40 crore units and the expenses of IoT sector will be around 2 lakh US dollars in the current year.
Ariful Hasan said-We have organized this conference for the expansion of clear ideas on Iot among the Bangladeshi people. World's next revolution is about to come on Internet of Things (IoT). Aiming to make the flow of Bangladesh's uprising development prompt, everyone is cordially invited to this initiative taken by Bangladesh Innovation forum.
Apart from 3 workshops on Robotics, Augmented Reality and IoT, 3 individual technical seminars along IoT Career got held in IoT Conference. The arrangement also consisted of IoT, Robotics, Augmented Reality based Project Showcasing and many more. Apart from this, around 4 thousand visitors along with numbers of prominent personalities, representatives from international organizations and local ICT sector were also present in this daylong conference.
IoT (Internet of Things) is basically to connect different devices through internet which will assist to communicate with people and for other purposes too. It is also a fact that IoT is not bound only to the usage of household machineries. The goal of IoT is to build up a smart city where different censors and modern machinery will be used to enhance the standard and production of traffic signal to industry and agriculture sector.
